Privacy Policy
Hi,
If you would like to know why we collect your private data, how we use it and who else may access it, you’ve come to the right place.
Generally speaking: We value your privacy. We don’t care where you are, who you are, or what you do when you are not playing Rebuilders. We make games. We’re not a dystopian authoritarian government. We just need to save some information on servers, so you can save your progress online, and for us to evaluate the usage of our games and features. Whenever it’s reasonably possible, we’ll try to encrypt, hash or anonymize your data.
Another thing: Since we use third party software, for example for crash reports, ads and in-app purchases, those companies have access to some of the data as well. They are all listed below. We collect as little info as possible anyway, so we hope you’re ok with that.
If you want to play our games, you agree to this privacy policy.
Some legal speak: The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same relevance as our Terms and Conditions, which are accessible in the Game, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
Who We Are
Rebuilders is made by anti entropy GmbH, Philippovichgasse 1-3/4/6, 1190 Wien. You can reach us at team@rebuilders.cc.
What We Collect
To be honest: If there was a way to offer our services without collecting any data, we’d do that. Rebuilders doesn’t ask for your real name, your email address or a password. This is what we do store on our server:
- Your account: a random ID the app creates on your device or, if you sign in with Google Play Games or Game Center, your player ID there. Also your display name, which is random until you change it.
- Your game: your progress, items, rewards and purchases (which store, which product and the store’s transaction ID), so your progress is saved online and nobody gets charged twice.
- Your privacy choices: which version of this policy you accepted and when, and whether a parent or guardian confirmed for a player under 13. We don’t store your age.
- Feedback you send us in the Game: what you write and your ratings, plus your device model, operating system, language, app version and the screen you were on, so we can find the problem.
- Social challenges: the link to the post you submit and your note, so we can check it and give you the reward.
- If you email us: your email address and what you write.
Log Data
Our server logs each request it receives, including your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address and the time, so we can find errors and stop abuse.
If the app crashes or hits an error, Unity’s crash reporting sends us a report with your device model, operating system, the app version, the error and the last lines of the app’s log.
Third Parties
These companies handle data for us:
- Unity (the engine the Game is built with): crash reports, in-app purchase processing and basic usage statistics.
- Unity LevelPlay and the ad networks it works with, such as Unity Ads: the optional rewarded ads.
- Singular: tells us which ad campaign brought you to the Game. For that it counts a few events: level reached, map cleared for the first time, tutorial finished, ad revenue and purchases.
- Google and Apple: sign-in with Google Play Games or Game Center, and in-app purchases through Google Play or the App Store. Our server checks each purchase with them.
- netcup: runs the server our game data lives on.
They get this data to do these jobs for us. Their own privacy policies apply to the data they handle.
Personalised Ads
Ads in Rebuilders are optional: you only see one when you choose to watch it for a reward.
Personalised ads are off unless you turn them on, either in the privacy dialog on first start or in the Settings at any time. While they are off, we tell LevelPlay and its ad networks not to personalise ads or sell your data, and Singular doesn’t share your data with ad partners. It still counts the events listed above.
On iPhone and iPad, iOS also asks whether the Game may track you across apps. You can change that answer in the iOS settings.
Cookies
The Game doesn’t use cookies. The ad and analytics tools listed above use identifiers stored on your device, such as your device’s advertising ID, in a similar way. Personalised Ads explains how to control them.
Security
We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. The connection between the Game and our server is always encrypted. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
This Game may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Children’s Privacy
On first start the Game asks for your age. We don’t store it. Players under 13 can only continue after a parent or guardian confirms. For them, personalised ads are always off, we tell the ad networks that the player is a child, and Singular runs in its mode for children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and you think your child has given us personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account in the Game’s settings. You then have 30 days to change your mind: start the Game during that time and you can restore it. After 30 days your account and game data are deleted from our server. Purchase records and feedback you sent are kept, but no longer linked to you. We also ask Unity and Singular to delete the data they hold under your player ID.
Your Rights
You can ask us which data we have about you, have it corrected or deleted, get a copy of it, or object to how we use it. Just write to team@rebuilders.cc. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the Game shows you the new version on your next start, and you can keep playing once you accept it. The current version is always on our website as well.
